Kid Says "You Too" After Lunch Lady Says "Enjoy Your Meal!" — Still Recovering
By Kevin · April 24, 2026
On Friday of last week, a student who shall remain anonymous had an incident at the cafeteria. He opted for the pepperoni pizza, a good choice in my opinion, and an orange. When he went to the line where he needed to enter his lunch number, the lunch lady told him to enjoy his meal.
"You too!" he said, without understanding the consequences. He has been in the hospital for 3 days now, and we wish him a steady recovery.
"That was my biggest mistake I have ever made," says the kid. We all hope he recovers soon.

By Kevin · April 24, 2026
We are honored to have special guest Max Randleman on our paper tonight. We got the privilege to interview him and learn a little bit about his daily life. Let's get into it!
"Hey Max, how are you?"
Max - "I'm great, thanks for asking."
"Alright, so for our first question, we would like you to tell us about your daily life."
Max - "Alright, so I usually wake up around 7:00 A.M to get ready for school. I'll eat a bowl of cereal and do my morning routine, like brushing my teeth. I do what my teachers assign and talk with friends at school. After school, I take a bus to track practice. When I get home, I eat dinner, then shower. I also play piano and fish at the reservoir near my house."
"What are some of the things you like to do, or hobbies?"
Max - "I like playing chess, usually blitz or bullet, piano, and fishing."
"Who's your favorite song artist?"
Max - "Either Drake or Daniel Caesar. I really enjoy their style and music."
"What is your favorite food?"
Max - "I really like hamburger helpers. My favorite fast food place is Culver's for sure."
"What are your thoughts on Editor Kevin?"
Max - "He's pretty awesome."
"Would you recommend the Willow Chronicle to other people?"
Max - "Absolutely."
"Thanks, Max, this was a wonderful talk. Have an awesome day."

"Mr. Lake's Chopstick Challenge Is a Challenge," Said Haakon Martin
By Kevin · April 24, 2026

On April 24th, social studies teacher Mr. Lake hosted a team-based chopstick challenge relay. The rules were simple: form a line with your team and use your chopsticks to pass Lincoln logs to each other around a table. There were 6 teams, with team 4 winning the finals.
The round robin started with team 5 and team 2 losing every round despite having some good chopstick users. As Haakon from team 2 said, "It's challenging using chopsticks in a team, because some people have never used them. It's okay though, I had fun."
Mason from team 5 said, "I had fun, but at the end of the day, I still wanted to win." Max Wilder did have some struggles, but he picked it up in later rounds.
At the end of the qualifiers, team 3 dominated by being the only team with 3 wins and zero losses. Team 6 with star player, Kevin Wang, had to come across team 1 in the playoffs with the winner playing against team 4. Despite Team 6's valiant effort, they fell short to team 1.
Team 1's player, Milo Thaden, said, "I'll get it next time!" Team 4 would play team 3 in the finals and a very close game would happen. Team 3 started better, but then team 4 carried very well consistently and overtook team 3 to snatch the win.
MCA Poem by Mason Skrupky
By Mason Skrupky · April 24, 2026
Let's take a look at Mason Skrupky's poem about the MCAs. Mason said his inspiration came from, "Umm. The environment set by the MCA testing."
Quiet in the halls,
Disturbance will bring their wrath,
Silence is,
The calm before the storm,
Fogarty and Ol,
Willie would have it no other way,
Can't even have a hood,
Welcome to the,
MCA

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
Betty Botter bought some butter, but she said the butter's bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter will make my batter better. So 'twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter.
